Mucky Field and a Day and Night

This past weekend was DS#2 End of the Season soccer tournament. The recent rains made the field a mucky place. These rubber boots from Walmart came in handy. The boys had a great time playing in the mud. The ball doesn't go very far on the wet grass. The boys played 4 games took home the 3rd place trophy.

I am in the process of making a Day and Night from Eleanore Burns. My niece loves purple and I have been thinking about it for a while. When I saw this pattern it spoke to me. It went together well but I do advise reading all the directions first. You don't cut all the strips the same way.
(ooops)

If your neice isn't appreciative of this quilt, I would be more than happy to have it at my place. I LOVE LOVE Luvva PURPLE!!!!! I would treasure it always! ;)

Very nicely done by the way.

Wow! It looks awesome.

Nothing like a muddy soccer field for boys! The dirtier, the better.
