Granola Models

Okay, not really modeling granola but, this morning I made homemade granola. Oatmeal, pecans, coconut, butter, and honey baked in oven 300 for 30 minutes. I added chocolate chips and dried cranberries when it cooled. Kevin wanted to know it you eat it like cereal with milk or if you have to eat it dry.

I started stringing beads into jewelry.
Here is Alea modeling a creation I styled for Lindsay, a lovely young lady that works in my office.

Kevin took it upon himself to declare it Nerd day at his school. This is what he came up with. He was bouncing around this morning powered by granola anticipating his friends participation. I thin one of his friends came to school dressed like a Hippie.

Macaroons

Do you ever get a taste for something just out of the blue? I was treating a patient yesterday and I got a strong taste for macaroon cookies. It may have stemmed back to Chiropractic School. I was a macaroon junkie. Every day I would buy one or two in the student store and eat them in class. I just must have been reminded of something that triggerd that memory!

I went to the trusty web and got a recipe from this web site. The cookies were so good. I adapted them for a gluten free diet and WOW they were great. I did share with Kevin. He is the only one in the family (besides me) that likes coconut. Try them they are yummy and easy.

First Day of School (in August)

Summertime

This summer has been filled with fun and excitement for our family. We started in June with a family reunion in our neck of the woods. Twain Harte Ca. We stayed 3 nights at the Lazy Z Resort about 15 minutes drive from our house. I could go home every day and water the garden.

Kevin and Alea did a triathlon this summer. Had a blast.

I finished Roll Roll Cotton Boll and put it in our guild's quilt show. It looked stunning hanging there among all those incredible quilts.

Me and the Love of my life.
