Bonnie Hunter is at it again. She is going to start another mystery quilt the day after Thanksgiving. It is called Carolina Christmas. I have already made the announcement to DH and the DC that I will be sewing that day. He put it on our calendar.
Bonnie's colors suggestions are red and green, cream and gold for Christmas. I can't decide if I want to go with those or Blue and gold, cream and deep red/brown. Either would be fine. I don't have a red and green quilt yet so it might be the right time. However I am drawn to blue like the sea and sky. Which DH reminded me I recently finished this quilt with those colors in it.
So Which should it be? This one....or...
This one?
Well which ever one I decide on I would like to finish the cactus patch (Bonnie Hunter again) first.

My first visit to your blog - very nice! I think both of your color choices are wonderful - - ever think of doing two? Good Luck.

I like number 1.
Xmas colours always look good together. However, if you are feeling 'drawn' to the second option ... I say go with it :)
I think I'm going to do that mystery quilt too. I'm still trying to decide on colors but really like your number 1 combination. I may stick with that color combination too.
I vote for #1. Love the combinations for both though.
I think I would lean towards the aqua's and tans with the great red/wine. I just finished the Christmas Lights mystery and wish I had chosen a bit stronger colors - black and red are fine but the green and gold are too soft. (in the C.L. quilt) - so I vote for "punch" in whatever colors you choose.
Good wishes.
I like both. Your second is very close to the same colors I chose ......... so far. I've still got a few days before we start. I can always change my mind. :-))

I love both, but more christmas colored is nr. 1.
I love Blue, so it would be interesting, what you make of the wonderful blue fabric.
Love,

Always nice to have a Christmas quilt around this time of year. I like the first choice.
I vote for the second one, but that's because I have LOTS of Christmas quilts. I was thinking of doing blue and yellow with RED accent. I know that your hues are a little different, but seeing them together made me decide for myself! Thanks.
I like the lower choice better.
Both of the group are great! Look forward to seeing which one you picked!
