Kaleidoscope Raffle Quilt

I finished my Kaleidoscope quilt. It was a lot of fun to make. It was fun to quilt too. I have decided that this is the quilt the kids are going to raffle off to raise money for summer camp at Hume Lake. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20 If you want tickets I can send you a pay pal invoice or you can send money. Email me.

I have it hanging on the wall of my office and I forgot to measure it. I will get that done and posted. It is throw size.
My wonderful father came from Rochester Mn. this week to visit us. He always wants to be kept busy. Well, I had the project for him. "Hey Dad, How about painting my Quilt Shack?" That is right up his alley. Earlier we painted it yellow but that was a terrible mistake. It looked horrible so the job never got completed. But, How about Barn Red? yeah, I am really pleased with the color choice. Now I need to paint a quilt block so I will fit in with the barn quilts in Iowa.

This is what I am working on. I got all the blocks together today. This is an easy one from Eleanore Burns. Kaleidoscope quilt.
I do not know why the pictures turned out so dramatically different but here is another shotA photo of three of the four children, the other one was not ready for school I guess. Kevin is dressed up for a field trip to the symphony.

The boys got hair cuts.I helped out in the class for a St Patrick's Day party. All the geen food! The Pickles were more popular than I would have imagined.
Children at play. I remember when I could ride one of these without getting sick.

Softball season has arrived.

Art?

I finished making a Day and night from Eleanor Burns. I Made it throw size and it is just right for my office wall. It is fun to look at through out the day. I made it for my niece, she doesn't know about it yet....Maybe she never will? No, I quilted her name through the border in several places. I am committed. Her birthday is next month It will make a good gift.

Mucky Field and a Day and Night

This past weekend was DS#2 End of the Season soccer tournament. The recent rains made the field a mucky place. These rubber boots from Walmart came in handy. The boys had a great time playing in the mud. The ball doesn't go very far on the wet grass. The boys played 4 games took home the 3rd place trophy.

I am in the process of making a Day and Night from Eleanore Burns. My niece loves purple and I have been thinking about it for a while. When I saw this pattern it spoke to me. It went together well but I do advise reading all the directions first. You don't cut all the strips the same way.
(ooops)
